The Communications Director of the Living Grace Ministries, Francis Owusu-Ansah, has
called on christian youth to pay attention to and respect their pastors by giving
genuine courtesy and consideration to God's word or pastors word.
Mr. Owusu-Ansah, who was addressing the Annual GLOMEF Youth Summit on the
theme,"Building Strong Christian Character" in Sunyani, charged the youth to be
committed by allowing the Lord control their lives and be willing to adjust their
schedules to fit the desires of God.The GLOMEF youth summit is opened to the youth
from all parts of the world and organised by the Global Media Foundation, (GLOMEF),
a media NGO in Sunyani.
The communications director called for compassion through the expression of deep
feeling of love and concern for others needs and difficulties and added that
whatever christian youth say or do shouldl benefit them and, more importantly,
others.
He asked the youth to be consistent by living their daily lives according to God's
principles and be content by accepting whatever God provides for them, while working
together in unity and harmony to promote the gospel.
Mr. Owusu-Ansah urged the youth be courageous and realise that God has given them
the strenght to face any trial or danger in the new year and bear in mind that every
body should use the talents he or she has been given to serve the Lord. He also
called on church workers to be decisive in making decisions based on God's perfect
will and do all they can to accomplish their part in God's plan.
The communicatons director appealed to the youth to set their desires and hopes upon
God and work hard to do their best for the Lord. He charged them to be discreet
through the formation of sound opinions and giving serious attention and thought to
what they do. He pointed out that christian youth must make the most of every
situation and see situations from the view point of each person involved.
Mr. Owusu-Ansah further noted that christian youth are expected to be loyal to the
one they serve, face danger boldly with God's strenght, over look wrongs done to
them and desire to know and help others.
He reminded the youth that they must give to others because God has given to them,
be patient and kind with others and live in line up with God's character.
The participants were asked to be truthful and do what is right, understand their
weakness and strive not to lift themselves self above others. He encouraged them to
be filled with happiness in Christ, do all things right according to God's laws and
show love towards others as well as yielding everything to God.
He urged the youth to show more kindness than justice requires,do what God requires
of them and think of the best in all situations.
Mr. Owusu-Ansah noted that patience plays an important role for christians and that
christian youth must go through all difficult situations with calm endurance and not
complaining or losing self control. He reminded them to persever, be persuasive,
prompt, prudent, purposeful, resourceful and responsible. He again charged leaders
in the house of the lord to be respectful and honour the authority God has placed in
their lives.
The communication director asked young women to be sincere, submissive, supportive,
tactful and temperate in managing their homes. Other characters Mr. Owusu-Ansah
asked christian youth to up hold in the new year included being thankful, thorough,
thoughtful and thrifty. He pointed out that christian youth need the ability to know
the meaning and reason behind certain situations as well as make good judgement.
