Christians advised to be wary of false ministers

Abesim (B/A), Sept. 16, GNA - Pastor Adu Agyei, Abesim District Pastor of Deeper Life Church has advised Christians to be wary of false ministers of God whose activities could lead them to destruction. Preaching at the church on Sunday, Pastor Agyei asked Christians to be vigilant, prayerful and disciplined in all spheres of their endeavours, so that they would be able to identify and avoid the teachings of false ministers.

"Christianity is an enviable and noble religion and Christians must regard themselves as role models and live healthy lifestyles for others to emulate," he said.

The District Pastor urged the Christian youth to be sober and to allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their daily lives to become assets of the state.

Pastor Agyei spoke against the practice by some youth to resort to the "get rich quick" method popularly known as 'Sakawa' to acquire wealth and power, stressing that such people would never escape earthly and heavenly condemnation.

He admonished the youth to distant themselves from unhealthy practices such as alcoholism, drug peddling and abuse, as well as illicit sex that could ruin their lives. "In these last days, there are crops of evil associations that could entangle society and lead majority of Christians into destruction," Pastor Agyei said. The District Pastor disclosed that the church had acquired a parcel of land at Abesim to build a mission house, and appealed to members and well-to-do citizens to support financially and materially towards its completion. 16 Sept 09
