Christians advised to intensify evangelism

The Reverend Emmanuel Adjetey Quaye, Ga Presbytery Youth and Campus Coordinator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has advised Christians to intensify their evangelism activities to win more souls for Christ.

He said the rate at which the world is accepting and justifying immorality is alarming, hence the need for Christians to wake up and pray while engaging in serious evangelism to point people to God through Jesus Christ.

Rev Quaye was speaking at a praying meeting held at the Ga Presbytery Prayer and Retreat Centre.

“We cannot wait for President Mahama to make a statement on this, it depends on us to fight immorality and point people to Christ,” he said referring to the legalisation of homosexuality in the United States.

He said some people could interpret the bible in such a way that they would be convinced and probably support the immorality, which is now being legalised worldwide.

“This issue is more serious that you think and we’ve got to start praying seriously about it,” Rev Quaye said.

Prayers were said for the nation and for government as well as the 2016 elections.

The Ga Presbytery Prayer and Retreat Centre hold prayers every Wednesday.

Rev Daniel Kwasi Ayim, Director of the Centre urged Christians to join the prayer sessions.
