Prophet Stephen Gaitu, the General Overseer of the Christ Liberation Church at Toh-Kpalime, has called on Christians to lead righteous lifestyles, to receive the blessings of God.
He said Christians should desire to walk in the presence of God in order to attract His blessings.
Prophet Gaitu made the call in a sermon when the church held a five-day prayer and fasting to commemorate their fourth anniversary at its auditorium at Toh-Kpalime.
He also urged the youth to develop strong conviction saying “be bold and aggressive in upholding your convictions.”
Prophet Gaitu said there were challenges but with God all things are possible and as Christians, we need to lift the standard of purity, faithfulness, honesty and stay clear of any attempts of ungodly companions.
“Unity, love and respect are the virtues and backbone of Christ.”
He said many countries across the world have in one way or the other experienced some form of electoral violence and it was important as one people with a common destiny conduct ourselves well, especially in the way and manner we talk on the airwaves.
Prophet Gaitu urged leaders of the various political parties not to see their counterparts as enemies but colleagues with different ideologies on how to develop the society.
“By this way, we will do away with potential chaos, breach of the peace and other acts of vandalism. We should collectively engage in a prayerful session for God to sustain the prevailing peace in the country.”
Mr Nelson Obiri-Darko, the Secretary of the Church, advised the youth not to be used by politicians to foment trouble.
Mr Yesudoko Lawrence, the Administrator of the Church, said all Ghanaians could not belong to one party, hence, our democratic dispensation.
