Winneba (C/R), Dec. 26, GNA - Mrs. Prudence Aba Manful, Winneba Archdeaconry Master Shepherd of the Guild of Good Shepherd of the Anglican Church, has charged Christian parents to cultivate the habit of cleanliness so that they could pass on such virtues to their children. She maintained that since cleanliness was "next to Godliness", it behoved every follower of Christ, particularly Christian parents, to always maintain the highest standard of domestic and environmental cleanliness.
Addressing members of the Guild of Good Shepherd as part of the activities marking the Yuletide, Mrs Manful also charged parents to do all within their power to reverse any negative attitudes and behaviours their children might cultivate.
She reminded Christian parents to always regard themselves as leaders not only in their various churches, but also as divine directors of the communities in which they live. The Master Shepherd urged leaders of various religious societies and associations to use the Yuletide holidays to sensitise their numerous followers and close relatives on the dangers of HIV/AIDS and other dangerous diseases so that they would exercise reasonable amount of prudence in their moral lives during the period.
They should impress upon their members to refrain from littering the streets and even church houses with empty 'pure water' sachets and other rubbish as a way of educating others on the need to keep our streets and other public places tidy all the time. Mrs Manful reminded the country's youth that they must not forget that the country's future lied in their hands and that the type of moral lives they would lead today would determine the future of this great nation.
