Church inducts Moderator for second term

Ho, Jan. 06, GNA-The Right Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Gbordzoe, Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC) was on Sunday inducted into office to lead the Church for another four-year term with five other elected executives at an induction service in Ho.

The five are Reverend Prince Yao Tepe, Synod Clerk, Reverend Samuel Dickson Dumevi, Programmes and Inter-Churches Relations Secretary (PICRS) and Reverend Kojo Mattah, Treasurer.

The rest are Mrs Enyonam Keteku, Female Presbyter and Mr Emmanuel Agozie, Male Presbyter.

Delivering the induction sermon, Reverend Professor Elom Dovlo, Director of Studies of the Global Evangelical Church urged the new executives to lead the Church with "God's principles of good governance" which required them to lead with good examples, with humility and love to serve people.

He asked them to follow the good example of Jesus and lead the church without looking for riches and honour. " You must be prepared to wash the feet of your followers like Christ did and let love for service and one another prevail in the Church", Reverend Dovlo charged the executives.

He also asked the Church to pray for the executives and cooperate with them for growth of the Church and for the work of God to progress steadily.

In an address, Reverend Gbordzoe expressed gratitude to the Church for the confidence repose in him for him to lead the Church for the second term.

He said the new executives would work hard for the Church to achieve its targets, especially in improving the quality of life of Ghanaians and the propagation of the Gospel to the whole world.

Professor Evans Atta Mills, the Falgbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who was among the worshippers asked Christians to pray for peaceful elections in December this year. He donated GH=A21,000 to the Church. 06 Jan. 08
