Church service held to mark the birth of Christ

Tema, Dec 25, GNA-- The Head Pastor of the Hope Presbyterian Church, Sakumono, Reverend Giddeon Pupulampu, in his Christmas message has stressed the need for parents to concentrate on the upbringing of their children at home to ensure that they become good citizens. He said, apart from loving and caring for the children discipline, hard work, and cleanliness, including other good behaviors could best be thought at home so that it becomes easier for the child to practice it outside. Quoting from scriptures, the Reverend Minister stated that Jesus Christ was born in a home and had the necessary support from his family in his upbringing and stressed the need for Christians to go by this and let home upbringing become the cradle of society.

Delivering the sermon to mark the occasion, Rev. Pupulampu reminded the congregation that, "everything concerning Jesus Christ we serve today is a historical fact which has the scriptures as a legal document proving it."

He advised Christians on the need to be righteous and shun away from sin and also not to feel bossy because of their position in society but to serve the Church and concentrate on how to win souls for Christ. "Leadership is a function and not a position for if you serve your righteousness will shine", he added.
