Clergyman calls on Christians to live by God's direction

Professor Immanuel Agbozo, leader of Ghana Evangelical Society, on Saturday called on Christians to be humble and obedient, and live by the direction of God since it is the path of hope.

He noted that there was always a test for persons who desired to be ministers of God, and living by His statutes would empower individuals to be strong and survive temptations.

Prof Agbozo made the appeal at the end of a two-day church conference 2012, organised by the Society on the theme: ”Repentance unto Holiness,’”in Accra.

He said Christ is the spirit of life and light, truth, righteousness and holiness and eternal glory released unto the world by God.

Prof Agbozo said: “there are stepping stones of holiness and righteousness unto God established in Jesus mission.”

He said Christians were expected to believe in Christ because they were born anew unto adoption as children of God and had been sealed with the Holy Spirit.

Prof Agbozo said the rebirth in Christ and baptism of the Holy Spirit, were crucial for entry into the kingdom of heaven from where Christians could operate in divine heavenly terms before spirits.

He said Christ was baptized unto repentance, filled with the Holy Spirit and openly commissioned as the son of God.**
