E.P. Church to revitalise the Christian's Commission

The Reverend Dr. Seth Agidi, Moderator Elect of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, has said his administration would implement social projects, while promoting dynamic evangelism to fulfill the needs of the soul and the body.

“The days when the Church sat down for people to come is gone so the E.P. Church would run after every soul for God’s Kingdom,” Rev. Agidi said. “The Church will also execute development projects and social activities to ensure a balance between the soul and the body.”

Dr. Agidi, who was addressing a reception held by the Rotary Club of Ho, however, said his primary focus would be to double the membership of the Church in six years.

The reception, held on Monday, was to honour him for his elevation to the peak position of the Church following his election by its General Assembly, on Saturday, August 23.

To fulfill his goals, Dr Agidi said the Church would continuously embark evangelism outreach programmes to reach the unreached with the word of God.

Mr Rockson Kwasi Dogbega, President of Ho Rotary Club, commended Dr Agidi on his election and said the Club was elated that its member had been elevated to that “high position of service.”

“Rotary is service above self so we are very happy that one of our own is elected to this high position,” he said.

Mr Dogbega said though Rotary was not about religion, the Club would support Dr. Agidi to ensure that his six years tenure was successful.

Dr Agidi would succeed the Right Rev. Francis Amenu.
