The Very Reverend Samuel Oppong, the Superintendent Minister of the Methodist Church, Ghana, Nkwabeng Circuit in Sunyani has said that Easter should be a period of forgiveness and reconciliation among Christians and humanity in general.
By the virtue of that, progress could be achieved in the country.
Speaking at a church service to mark the resurrection of Christ Jesus at the Bethany Methodist Church, Kuotokrom in the Sunyani Municipality, Very Rev. Oppong expressed regret that Ghanaians were divided on political, ethnic and religious lines and Easter must be the opportune time for Christians to take bold steps to bring about a true and total reconciliation among themselves.
Very Rev Oppong noted that could be achieved when Christians and every Ghanaian, as a matter of divine command, forgive each other of whatever wrongdoing to strengthen the peaceful co-existence in the country.
“As a post-resurrection mandate by Jesus Christ, Christians should also go out to propagate the good news about the resurrected Christ and the salvation it has brought to humanity, Very Rev Oppong added.
