Evangelist ask Ghanaians to praise and not vilify the Black Stars

Accra, July 3, GNA - Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian International Evangelist and soccer enthusiast, at the weekend asked Ghanaians and spor ts enthusiast to stop apportioning blames at the Black Stars and the technic al team for their defeat to Uruguay.

He said for a month the stars had kept Ghanaians elated and united through their remarkable performance at the on-going FIFA World Cup in So uth Africa.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, he said Ghanaians should

rather count their blessings for how far God has brought the country. "Ghana is now counted as one of the best countries in the tournament .. Before the tournament there was general despondency because big players l ike Michael Essien were not featuring in the competition.

" Ghana is currently the best African team in Africa," he said light

heartedly, adding " Although the country did not go beyond the quarter finals, they showed great sportsmanship and gave a better account of themselves." Dr Tetteh said it is now time for the citizenry to give the Black St ars heroic welcome since they were not push overs in the contest. " Let all Ghanaians take heart that God offers another chance in whatever happens in life. What is important is that we should all learn our lessons and move on. "We are yet to see many of such things in our lives as a country," h e stressed. 3 July 10
