Ghana Adventist starts Accra City Campaign

The Southern Ghana Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist church is organising a massive campaign as part of its plans to propagate the word of God.

Dubbed ‘The imitating Christ Campaign’ the church in conjunction with the Encounter with Truth – The Television Ministries of the church - will provide soul-inspiring messages on twelve nights at the nation’s parade grounds, The Independence Square starting from the 1st to the 12th of October 2014.

The renowned International Evangelist, and Director and Speaker of the Encounter With Truth TV Ministries, Pastor, (Dr.) Andrews Lawrence Ewoo will treat topics aiming at encouraging Christians and non-Christians alike to learn to imitate Jesus.

About fifteen thousand people are expected every night for the event, which will be the last of such campaigns by Pastor Ewoo as he retires from active ministry.

Preceding the messages which starts at 7.00pm every nigh will be health talks and free health screening, music by the Advent Heralds, Kojo Ampong, Mark Anim Yerinkyi, The Accra New Town SDA Church Choir among many others.

Organisers of the power-packed campaign told the Daily Guide in an interview that there will be free distribution of health and religious books to help attendees to build their faith in Jesus.

This year, similar events have been organised in Sunyani, Kumasi, Bibiani, Takoradi, Tarkwa and some major university campuses such as the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Legon as well as the Valley View University where thousands of people gave their lives to Jesus while others received healing and freed from bondage.

Pastor Ewoo has been an Adventist Minister for the past 45 years with very rich ministerial experience. He holds doctorate degree in Divinity from the Andrews University in the USA and has conducted a number of campaigns around the globe preaching on every continent and in over 60 countries.
