Global Evangelical Church elects new Moderator

Global Evangelical Church has elected Reverend Dr Setorwu Kwadzo Ofori as the new Moderator for the next six years.

He takes over from Rt Rev Dr Edem Tettey.

Rev Ofori holds a Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from the Bakke Graduate University, Seattle, US, and Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from the Trinity College and Seminary, Newburgh, USA.

He also attended the Daystar University, Kenya where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Administration and also a Diploma in Theology from the Trinity College, Legon.

Rev Ofori held various positions in the Global Evangelical Church. He was the Synod clerk from 2000 to 2007, serving the two four-year term, he served as the Kpando Presbytery Chairman, the District Pastor of the Bubuashie branch of the Church and currently the Parish Pastor of La North in Accra.

He is a writer who promotes work, youth development and sound marriage life and interested in promoting development.

He has two registered non-governmental organisations.

The Moderator-elect is married to Dr Mrs Shine Ofori, Headmistress of Odorgornor Senior High School and a career guidance Counsellor.

Meanwhile, the following persons have also been elected to the executive of the Church.

They are Reverend Raph Mac Attih, Synod Clerk, Professor Reimmel Adosraku, Male Presbyter and Mrs Christie Bobobee, Female Presbyter.
