Global Evangelical Church ordains 25 pastors

Twenty-five Pastors of the Global Evangelical Church have been ordained with a call on them to serve without fear.

They were also asked to use the Word of God to overcome every threatening situation that might arise in their line of duty.

Very Reverend Dr Emmanuel Kormla Gbordzoe, immediate past Moderator of the Church, urged the Pastors not to be afraid of anything especially their so-called enemies, but endeavour to be on top of affairs.

The former Moderator was preaching on the theme: “Rule in the Midst of your Enemies,” at the Trinity Parish of the Global Evangelical Church, Kotobabi in Accra said they should exercise their “authority in the name of Jesus” over sicknesses, diseases, poverty, retrogression, hardships and any other odds that would militate against them in their pastoral ministry.

“If you are born again, then you are ruling and like Jesus you will overcome the enemy, but if you are not born again, then you are a slave to the enemy,” he said.

Very Rev Dr Gbordzoe said the ordination was to establish and prepare them to make an impact on society by using the Word of God.

“Wherever the Word of God is extended from the church, the church will be ruling,” he said.

The newly ordained pastors had finished their two-year probation in the various districts and congregations of the church and having performed satisfactorily, they were recommended for ordination.

The ceremony officiated by the Rt Rev Dr Edem Tettey, Moderator of the Church, was witnessed by a large crowd of well-wishers, families and members of the mission.

Rev Gilbert Gbortsu on behalf of his colleague ordained ministers thanked the leadership at the local and presbytery levels of the church and family members for their mentorship, care and well-wishes.
