God does not pamper his children – Apostle Antwi

Apostle Joseph Kwabena Antwi, Chairman of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI), has said though God does not pamper his children it was expected that they based their lives on biblical doctrines.

“God is a God of process and he always prepares his children for the task ahead of them, if God pampers his children, when they finally assume leadership portfolios, they will gradually destroy the faith and the destiny of their followers,” he said

Apostle Antwi said this at Amrahia near Dodowa during the 22nd General Council Meeting of the GCCI which was on the theme: “Let’s arise and build”.

Using the life of Isaac based on Genesis Chapter 26:1-35, he said if anyone wants to be successful in life, he must live a life based on biblical doctrines.

Apostle Antwi noted that God did not pamper Isaac even though he was a chosen heir, explaining that he had to struggle with his opponents over wells he had dug through tough layers of rocks.

He said Isaac never gave up despite his opponents claiming ownership, it was when he dug a particular well and his opponents did not struggled with him, that God visited him.

Apostle Antwi said Ghanaians like complaining at the least challenge they encounter in life, instead of forging ahead for their breakthrough.

He said many Children of God at the least provocation try to give up and turn to curse their opponents but this should not be the case, adding when Isaac dug his wells and his opponents were busy filling and claiming ownership he never cursed them and Christians must learn from that.

He said Ghanaians try to blame governments for petty challenges even if they were even in a position to fix them.

He urged Ghanaians to stop complaining and pursue their visions to a logical conclusion.

Apostle Antwi said stamina is the ability to bounce back and advised Ghanaians to develop stamina no matter the opposition they meet in life.

He expressed unhappiness with the situation where we in Ghana have abundant rains and natural water bodies, yet we can’t grow enough tomatoes to meet the demand of the local market and have to be importing from neighboring Sahellian countries.

Apostle Antwi urged Ghanaians to change their attitudes and work harder to ensure progress in their lives.

He charged the Church to revisit the principle of winning, churching and discipleship for Christ this year and they will witness astronomical growth.
