The Assemblies of God Church has cautioned politicians against the use of inflammatory languages ahead of the November polls.

Resident Pastor for the Roman Ridge Revival Restoration Centre of the church has warned politicians to be decorous in their campaign or risk losing the impending elections.

Rev. Dr. Alex Kwaku Nkrumah believes politicians will win or lose the elections based on their choice of words when they mount the campaign platforms.

“In every election, the electorate are the referees, not the Electoral Commission … if you come with a language of anger, insulting then what actually are you going to bring out when you have eventually become a President or a leader?” Rev. Dr. Nkrumah said.

He was speaking during a float organized by the church on Saturday to celebrate 25 years of existence. Scores of its members amidst dancing and jubilation shared religious flyers to promote the gospel.

Rev. Dr. Nkrumah said the move was to tell everyone that no matter how small one begins, one can grow to become great in society.

“We are saying that the grace of God that has been upon this assembly which started under a tree to a shed to a semi-permanent structure to where God has brought us, that same grace we should allow it to work in us so that we can understand one another, we can talk to one another in a peaceful atmosphere and to understand that it is the grace of God that makes a person great,” he counseled his congregants.

The church has themed its 25 years celebration, ‘Rejoicing in God’s Grace’.
