The Harvest Chapel International at the weekend ended the 2014 Overcomers Convention in Accra to equip Ghanaians with knowledge to understand the blessings of God.
The Reverend Mr Fitzgerald Odonkor, Head Pastor of Harvest Chapel explained that the convention on the theme: “Blesses to serve” was to strengthen the people of God and the nation as a whole.
He said convention was also to show gratitude to God for his protection over his people and to ask for his guidance and strength towards entering into a new year.
He noted that another reason for organizing this convention was to mobilize people of God from all walks of life to share fellowship, equip them with the word of God and other endeavours in the house of God.
Speaking in an interview with GNA, Rev. Odonkor said the five-day event which started on Wednesday also aimed at stirring up spiritual strength in the country.
Rev. Isaac Quaye, General Overseer, Word of Life Christian Centre who was the guest Minister advised Christians to serve God and mankind.
He noted that it was necessary for the members not to think they offer material things in the house of God just for the leaders to use them for their personal gains but rather should be thankful to God for giving them an opportunity to exchange something material for something spiritual.
Harvest Chapel has its root in evangelism and started in 1992 with branches in all the 10 regions and other countries including Burkina Faso, La Cote D’Ivoire, Italy, Great Britain, USA, and Canada.
