Accra, Sept. 6, GNA - Reverend Constance Worlanyo Kwesi Bansah, Madina-West District Pastor of the Maranatha E.P. Church, has called on the youth to desist from the get-rich quick attitude and concentrate on their education to enable them to achieve their avowed aim in life. Rev. Bansah made the call at the first anniversary celebration of the church at Madina in Accra on Sunday. It was on the theme: "I will arise."
He said the church which was started with 25 members had now more than 100 congregation.
Rev. Bansah said the church had encountered a number of challenges for the past year adding that "the church would aspire to greater heights . and win more souls for Christ".
He appealed to parents to take active interest in the upbringing of their children, which he said would help reverse the social canker eating into the society.
He commended the government for instituting a national holiday in honour of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana. The District Pastor urged the youth to follow the footsteps of Dr Nkrumah who brought Ghana into the limelight.
