Kumawu (Ash), Dec. 31, GNA - The President of South Central Ghana Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church (SDA), Pastor Dr Kwame Kwanin-Boakye has asked the youth to be God-fearing and self-disciplined to become useful to their families and society.
He said they should put their time and energy to productive use and resist the allurement of morally reprehensible lifestyles. Pastor Kwanin-Boakye gave the advice at the opening of an 11-day annual youth camp of the Church being held at Kumawu on the theme: "Dare and shine."
The meeting is providing a platform for the youth to study and share the values of the Christian religion.
Pastor Dr Kwanin-Boakye tasked them to stay closer to God, remain submissive and uphold the teachings of the Bible. He said by so doing they would be able to positively influence the lives of their peers and turn them away from violence drug abuse, alcoholism and crime.
The Assistant Adventist Youth Director, Pastor Kwabena Agyapong expressed the hope that the youth would return from the meeting spiritually transformed and adequately prepared for the task of winning more souls for Christ.
