The Solid Rock Mission, Ghana, has held a special service to install a Head Pastor for the Dromankese branch of the church in the Nkoranza North District, with a call to the clergy to lead from the front the fight against growing indiscipline and immorality.
The Reverend Mac Douglas Ampadu, President of the Fundamental Baptist Churches Association of Ghana, said they should do this by becoming good examples to the people – epitomize everything that was decent and dignified.
They must not “preach virtue and practice”, he added.
Forty-eight (48)-year old, Rev Ansah Damoah, one of the pioneers of the Solid Baptist Church Training School, now heads the Dromankese church.
The Rev George Alfred Dapaah, National Director of the Church, who led the service, reminded him to be open, transparent and accountable to the congregation, saying, this was necessary to get them behind him.
He also encouraged the members to cooperate with the head pastor to grow the church and help bring hope and salvation to more people.
The Rev Damoah pledged to work with zeal to spread the gospel, adding that, he was not going to disappoint.
