Hajia Ayishetu Seidu, the Municipal Chief Executive of Savelugu, has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his achievements saying it will secure the New Patriotic Party victory in the December polls.
She said the country had had major development projects and social interventions under President Akufo-Addo and Savelugu was no exception.
Hajia Seidu told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the Yoo Rice Processing Factory, the Technology Solution Centre for the training of Artisans and the increment of beneficiaries under the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) were but a few examples.
"Also more than 200 Persons with Disability have received farm inputs, sheep, deep freezers and cash to support their businesses," she said.
"The number of schools under the Ghana School Feeding Programme has increased from 24 in the then Savelugu/Nanton District to 40 in the now Savelugu Municipal.”
Hajia Seidu said the Savelugu School for the Deaf had had its Dinning Hall expanded and the Girls Dormitory rehabilitated.
Other interventions include the construction of a fence wall to prevent the encroachment of the School land and provision of food items and toiletries under the Disability Fund to the students.
She said the upgrading of the Savelugu Market and major roads in the Municipality, the Planting for Food and Jobs, construction of CHIPS Compounds, the Free Senior High School Policy, and provision of furniture to schools are some of the projects the Savelugu Municipality had benefitted from.
She appealed to Ghanaians to give President Akufo-Addo a second term in office to continue with the development agenda.
