President John Agyekum Kufuor left Accra last Friday, October 27 for the United Kingdom to attend two major gatherings of World Scholars in Oxford from yesterday October 29 to 31.
But most importantly, the Ghanaian President is in London to show his appreciation to Egyptian born, British billionaire Al-fayed when he calls on him to thank him for saving him from the British Police, who would have arrested him for loitering recently when he got stranded in London.
In fact the President, according to sources close to the Castle, is very grateful to the Egyptian because if Al-fayed had not rescued him during the period that he was stranded in the United Kingdom, and had been arrested by the British Police, the Oxford Union would not have invited him.
You know why the Union would not have invited him? I guess you know the sort of people arrested for loitering in the United Kingdom, don’t you?
