The Cash-man Was Cash-strapped

You need to be there to see how angry the people “imported” into the capital by Allan Kyeremanteng were yesterday. Come and see party people complaining about inadequate feeding, with some even complaining about common water to drink. It wasn’t easy.

The refrain all over the place was “Allan has bitten more than he could chew”. Indeed, as I lay in my hammock monitoring the situation with the aid of my ever-powerful lens, I couldn’t help laughing myself to stitches.

This was a classic lesson in ‘how to shoot one’s self in the foot’. The image Allan Kyeremanteng and his handlers have created of him, in the media and with supporters of the narcotic peddlers party, as a man with virtually limitless resources, was badly dented when he could not satisfy those he imported into Accra.

The “Vote Allan Cash for Cash In Your Pockets” slogan quickly vanished from the lips of the party people when they realised that they had to struggle to get something small (noko fio) to eat.

And this is what the handlers of Allan Kyeremanteng are touting as his credentials as a master planner? A man who cannot even plan to take care of five people from a constituency without any hassle?

Little wonder all the PSIs are folding up!!!

Oh yes, apart from the PSI on garments, which is receiving some life-support from the Americans through AGOA, all the others, from PSI on palms, salt, cotton, cassava; you name it, they are all on their knees.

And this is the best Atta Ayi K4 has to offer as his replacement. Yoo! But, the fact that Allan Kyeremanteng has only succeeded in shooting himself in the foot does not detract from the disdain that he has shown for Nana Ohene Ntow and co, and I still insist that Ohene Ntow, if he is really in-charge of the party, must crack the whip.

Ohene Ntow must show the kind of balls that Dan Botwe had to deal with a stalwart like Kakra Essamuah. We are watching.
