Accra, March 14, GNA - Black Stars trainer Goran Stevanovic has confirmed that he will name 23-players for the double-decker against Congo and England later this month.
The Stars face their Congolese counterparts in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on March 27 before facing their colonial masters, England in the first ever meeting between the two sides at the Wembley two days later.
Coach Stevanovic told GNA Sports in Accra on Monday that he will name a 23-man squad for the two games, whilst Asamoah Gyan's inclusion for the England game will soar the list by a player more. "I will name 23 players for the two games minus Gyan. He will only be available for the England game even though he will travel with the team to Congo."
The 44-year old Serbian was, however, tightlipped about the three goalkeepers expected to make the journey to both the Brazzaville and London meets.
Stevanovic, who arrived in Ghana on Sunday after a meeting with some key players in Europe, said he will meet with his technical team to finalize the squad for the two games.
"I have just arrived and I have to meet with my technical team before naming the squad. I'm very sure that we will present the best team for Congo."
The Serbian took over the reigns of the Black Stars in February replacing compatriot Milovan Rajevac, now in charge of Qatar's national team.
