AFCON'12: Bostwana dealt a huge blow

Botswana’s Mogorosi out of Afcon
Bostwana have been dealt a huge blow in the shape of Joel Mogorosi being ruled out of the Africa Cup of Nations finals due to a broken arm.
The fracture took place on Wednesday afternoon during a training session in which the Zebras were taking part in their final preparation in Douala, Cameroon, before crossing over to the host country.
It has been said the Botswana FA are set to replace Mogorosi with Township Rollers player Abednico Powell.
Joel has been ruled out of the tournament because of the injury," Botwana’s Football Association media officer Sakaeyo Jani told BBC Sport.
"He broke the bone between his elbow and wrist.”
It is the second blow to the Zebras as coach Stanley Tshosane will also have to make do without his experienced captain Dipsy Selolwane in the opening match due to suspension.
"I spoke to Dipsy and he has accepted that he will miss the Ghana game and we are happy because we got to know while there is still time to make changes," Tshosane said.
Nevertheless the coach is happy with the team preparations and has welcomed the return of Mompathi Thuma, who had to miss out the December preparations due to a hamstring strain.
"I'm happy with the preparations we have done - I believe we are ready for the Nations Cup," he said.
"We are the least experienced side in our group, but we have done our homework and I can assure Batswana that we will not just add numbers at the Nations Cup."
The Zebra’s will depart from Douala on Saturday and make their way to Gabon before playing their opening match against Ghana on 24 January.
