Accam must consider Helsingborg exit

Chief Executive Officer of Right to Dream, Tom Vernon, believes Ghana striker David Accam must consider a move away from Helsingborg IF.

The 24-year-old Right to Dream Academy graduate, who joined Helsingborg from fellow Swedish side Ostersunds in 2012, has received a 2.4 million euro bid from UAE Pro League side Al Ain and another from an unnamed Mexican club together with few other clubs in the second tier of English football.

Though Helsingborg is yet to reveal its decision on David Accam’s next club destination, Vernon believes the Black Stars attacker must consider a move either to the UAE or Mexico to improve his finances.

“Is about time he Accam and his family considered looking for greener pastures, elsewhere, football sometimes is like that.

“He has been in an explosive start to life in Sweden and I am not surprised he is at the top competing with the best in the league”.

“He is young and can play for at least 10 to 15 years,” he stated.
