Accra to host Football Expo

Accra, Aug 8, GNA - Accra will host the maiden edition of the Biennial Football Expo 2006 fixed for March 20-24, 2006 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Exposition, which is open to all football association in Africa, Executives of Clubs and other stakeholders of the game will be under the theme " Defining Commercial Value of Football in Africa". RICS Consult, a leading Public Relations outfit, Media Management, Marketing and Sports Tourism consultants are the organisers of the two-day programme.

Nana Adwoa Kwegyir-Aggrey, General Manager of RICS Consult Limited in a statement said the second edition of the event will be planned to coincide with the 26th Cup of Nations in 2008, to be hosted by Ghana. She said the third edition is scheduled for 2010 when Africa will be hosting her first World Cup.

Nana Kwegyir-Aggrey said participants are expected from Europe, Asia, North and South America and the Far East where a unique opportunity would be opened for net working and One-to-One matching for clubs, officials, owners/managers, entrepreneurs, and investors that would include Kits Manufacturers, Suppliers and Distributors of football goods and equipments, sports medicine and sports tourism.
