Black Stars custodian Adam Larson Kwarasey is set for an extended spell in the treatment room after suffering a relapse on his recovery from injury.

The Portland Timbers safest pair of hands was billed to miss four weeks for his Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit but has been slapped with more weeks on the treatment table.

The lanky goalie tore his wrist on April 16 in an MLS clash and was billed to return in mid-May before picking up more complications ahead of his recovery.

A club statement on the injury state of Kwarasey reads, ” He (Kwarasey) is going to be back in early July. We have had 11 injuries in 11 games and nine of the injuries have been to starting players”.

Kwarasey graced the post for Timbers across the 2015 MLS campaign that saw them book a grand finale clash with Columbus Crew for the ultimate trophy.

The Norwegian-born Ghana international however made a dreadful start to the current season before complicating his season with this recurrent injury.
