Aduana Stars have opened contract extension talks with goalkeeper Stephen Adams with his current deal set to end by the close of this month.
The agile goalkeeper was on the radar of Accra Hearts of Oak and they were bent on signing him, but the fire club have acted swiftly to start negotiations with the 2014 Ghana World Cup goalkeeper.
According to close sources, the owner of the club Oseadeyor Agyemang-Badu who is also the chief of Dormaa stepped in and had serious talks with the player which made him agree to the new negotiations.
Adams will sign a fresh two-year deal with the 2010 Ghana League champions and he is expected to receive an amount of GHC 20,000 as signing.
Accra Hearts of Oak who are in need of a goalkeeper to compete with Soulama Abdoulaye for the starting spot will now have to look elsewhere for cover.
