Adansiman Trounce KFC 3-1

Adansiman FC on Saturday outplayed and routed Kumasi based KFC at the Ofori Stadium in the Division One league match. Adansiman has been paired in a tough Group A comprising Gold Stars, Mines Stars, Kaaseman, Farisco Stars Norchip, KFC and Kessben.

Though Adansiman lost their maiden outing by 1-3 to Norchip in Kumasi making their encounter with KFC a tricky one but kudos the players of Adansiman who displayed a highly spirited performance by coming from a goal down to silence the visitors. KFC opened the score line through their ?dangerman? Habib Polo in the 23rd minute when he out-jumped the defenders of the home team and headed the ball into the net beating Joseph Anan in post for Adansiman.

Adansiman accepted the challenge and kept the pressure on KFC but kudos the well-knitted defence of KFC that stood tall to most of the attacks. Rahim Ibrahim, Hope Leve and Wilson Andoh respectively came close to scoring for Adansiman but wasted all the glorious opportunities.

The resumption of the second half saw Adansiman resorting to long balls and beautiful inter-positional passes that posed problems for the defenders of KFC. It was during one of such raids that saw Hope Leve beautifully connecting home Bob Marley?s in-swinger in the 52nd minute setting the Stadium alive.

The head coach of Adansiman Thomas Abbew who couples his work as a Sports presenter at the local FM Station, Shaft FM made substitution bringing on Paul Atiah for Bob Marley that added bite upfront.

Adansiman scored the 2nd goal in the 61st minute when Wilson Andoh cleverly tapped in a re-bounce at the goalmouth with the defenders of the visitors caught ball watching.

Paul Atiah however increased the tally in the 85th minute when he classically headed home a long pass beating the goalie of the visitors for the 3rd goal until the referee brought proceedings to an end.

Coach Thomas Abbew hinted after the match that Adansiman was not going to relent in their effort to qualify for the middle league that has been the goal of the club. ?We lost our first match against Norchip and there is no way we could have lost or drawn this match. The players have done well and we will do the same in our next home match.?
