Adomah shines as Middlesbrough defeat Bolton

Ghana winger Albert Adomah flourished on the wings with a dazzling 90 minutes display as he helped Middlesbrough edge Bolton Wanderers 2-1 to maintain their leadership of the English Championship.

Boro made their trip to the Macron Stadium with Brighton and Burnley breathing down their necks but Aitor Karanka's men displayed class over the hosts at the death.

Midfielder Josh Vela has cast doubts over Middlesbrough winning side by scoring midway through the second-half but Jordan Rhodes levelled in 73 minutes before he went ahead to net the match-winner in stoppage-time.

While the Scottish international was scoring the vital goals, it was Adomah's relentless runs on the flanks and machinations that worked the hosts defence tired.

With five games left to draw the curtains on the Championship season, Adomah could end up playing in the English Premier League if Boro maintain their winning form.
