Adu Kofi saddened by Atletico riot

Ghanaian International Enoch Adu Kofi says he is saddened by his team’s performance against 2013 UEFA champions League finalist, Atletico Madrid, on Wednesday night after they were annihilated by 5 goals to nil.

Adu Kofi, who played the entire duration of the game, revealed that although his side played very well, they were second fiddle to the Spanish Champions.

“I must admit that this was a tough game and we couldn’t do anything, we were very hopeful that we were going to make things work before the game but that is the nature of football.

“I was saddened with the results because I thought we could have done well, now we have to win all our matches to see if other results can go our way, if not so, we will have it very difficult to progress to the knockout phase of the champions league.”

Malmo FF is yet to pick a point in their group while Greece opponents and Atletico Madrid lead group A with 6 points apiece.
