Former Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed believes the club will do well without him.

The frontman joined Tanzanian outfit Azam FC on a three-year deal last month following an impressive performance in the local topflight.

The ex-Asante Kotoko man finished the Ghana Premier League with 15 goals, two less than top scorer Latif Blessing of Liberty Professionals.

“I believe they can do it without me,” Yahaya told Happy FM.

“They have one of the best squads you can find in the league with the likes of Bright Adjei and Nathaniel Asamoah to count on and I also heard they’re being led by Yusif Abubakar now, who is a great coach.

“They can achieve their target because football is about determination and hard work and without extra work, you get nothing.

“And when it comes to motivation too, those who know [chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area] Nana Agyemang Badu can attest that he motivates his players very well.

"As a player, when your monthly salary is being paid on time, what more do you need to give your maximum?"

Aduana finished second in the topflight last season, only missing out on the title following a last matchday defeat to winners Wa All Stars.
