Afriyie Acquah will blossom at Sampdoria - Oliver Arthur

FIFA agent Oliver Arthur believes his client Afriyie Acquah will be a hit at Serie A side Sampdoria.

Acquah has signed a six-month loan deal with the Blucerchiati on transfer deadline Monday.

The 23-year-old, who is owned by German side TSG Hoffenhiem, was on a season-long move at Serie A side Parma where he made 12 appearances before the winter break.

Acquah would be competing for a slot in the midfield alongside compatriot Alfred Duncan, Pedro Obiang, Roberto Soriano and Angelo Palombo.

Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic prefers a three-man midfield which makes competition fierce for Ghana’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations revelation.

But the player’s camp is confident the battling midfielder will survive at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

“Both the coach and sports director requested for him and that is the most important step,” Arthur told Africanfootball.com

“The player just needs to maintain his form from the Nations Cup and he would definitely be a starter.

“Sampdoria is building a team for the future and we are sure he will be part of it.”
