According to the Bristol Rovers website, Junior Agogo has this afternoon been called up to represent Ghana in a pre-World Cup friendly.
The Black Stars face French side OGC Nice next Tuesday, and the Rovers striker has been summoned by the Germany-bound Ghana to represent them ahead of the tournament this summer.
If Agogo impresses he could yet earn a shock place in Ghana's 23-man squad and take on the best of the rest of the world in June and July.
Agogo will fly out on Monday to take part in the game, and will then be free to return to Rovers afterwards. The match is Ghana's last game before the World Cup selection is made
A decision will then be taken by Ghana on whether or not to include Agogo in their World Cup plans.
