in Udinese Europa League defeat
Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu made a return from injury to play in Udinese’s 3-1 defeat at Young Boys Bern in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday night.
The 21-year-old won the battle over a nagging knee injury that had sidelined him for three weeks.
Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin handed him a starting role in a holding midfield berth and he gave a good account of himself especially in the first half.
He lasted the entire first 45 minutes before being replaced by Argentine international Roberto Pereyra.
His return is a boost for Ghana who are preparing for January’s Nations Cup.
