Ghana Black Stars Defender, Jerry Akaminko is making a very remarkable comeback from the ankle injury which ruled him out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The robust versatile defender who plays in both right back and central defense posted a video on his facebook account which saw him joggling a football very comfortably.
The defender injured his ankle in the dying minutes of the Black Stars preparation match verses the Netherlands and got effectively ruled out of the tournament.
Akaminko suffered a fracture in his fibula bone in his left ankle and had to undergo surgery to get healed.
Billed to return to full fitness around October, the Ghanaian seems to be making huge progress and looks set to return a bit earlier than expected.
Akaminko was dearly missed in the Stars defense and connoisseurs of the game are of the view that his absence brought unsteadiness in the Stars backline, which raked in six goals in three matches and got booted out of the tournament with just a point to show.
His return will be a major boost to the Black Stars who are set to kick start their qualification to the Orange African Cup of Nations after a disastrous world cup campaign.
He has assured his fans of a strong come back and the progress he is making is a reason to keep everyone optimistic.
