United Arab Emirates giants Al Ain have denied stories making rounds that new loan signing Asamoah Gyan is on huge wages.
Media reports had earlier suggested that Gyan will be receiving an upfront payment of $1 million plus a reported $200,000 a week, but Al Ain director Awad Bin Hasoum Al Darmaki says those reports are wide off the mark.
He says, ‘The club is committed not to disclose the value of the deal but the figures published by some media are much larger than the real value of the deal for the player to Al Ain on loan for a period of one season and is renewable, and Al Ain’s priority is the extension of the loan deal or outright purchase of the player at the end of the season.’
