Alex Asamoah in Turkey

Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Alex Asamoah has flown out of the country and is in Turkey on the verge of sealing a move to a club in that country. The top scorer in the just concluded Glo Ghana Premier League has moved straight to the pre-season camp of Turkish second division side Karsiyaka Spor Kulubu (KSK). KSK officials have keenly waited for the arrival of the Ghanaian hitman whom they believe can help push their quest for promotion to the Turkey Super League. 23 year old Alex Asamoah has moved from Berekum Arsenal to Obuasi Ashantigold then to Kotoko in two years. While in Turkey he hopes to sign a contract which will make KSK his fourth club in three years. But Asamoah has vowed to pay back every dollar to be paid for him by KSK with goals as he has done in the past with Arsenal, Ashantigold and of course Kotoko.

In a related development, the same club have expressed their disappointment with King Faisal forward Samed Oppong for turning down their offer. KSK officials are disillusioned that Oppong chose to travel to France for trials with a supposedly third division club in that country. KSK had apparently fancied a Ghanaian strike partnership between Alex Asamoah and Samed Oppong to spearhead their attack in the forthcoming season. They are so disappointed that they have dismissed any possible deal with Samed Oppong in the immediate future by poaching a different player to replace the King Faisal predator.

Now only Asamoah has the opportunity to shine in the colours of KSK. After achieving a childhood dream of winning the goalking crown in the Ghanaian top flight, Alex Asamoah believes he is ready for a big career in Europe. And banging in the goals is just what is on the mind of the 23 year old goal poacher from Berekum as he looks ahead to battling in the green, white and red of Karsiyaka Spor Kulubu.
