Alex Asamoah set for Turkey move

Glo Ghana Premier League goalking Alex Asamoah will travel to Turkey by the end of the month to sign for a top club in that country’s elite football league.
Asamoah who has switched Berekum Arsenals to Ashantigold then Asante Kotoko in the past two Ghanaian football league seasons, is set for the move again.
His splendid form for Asante Kotoko in his rookie season in the red colours has caught the attention of many top clubs abroad but the Turkey deal appear to be the choice of the top marksman. The Turkish club are in discussions with the FIFA agent who is based in Europe and who almost secured a permanent move for the player last year.
16 goals the 23 year old hitman has scored for Kotoko, goals which have been very important, goals which have been instrumental in Kotoko’s renaissance in the league. A renaissance which saw the defending champions claw back more than 15 points and take the title race to the very last match day. He crowned it all by netting the vital equalizer for Kotoko against King Faisal on the last Match Day of the league to not only net Kotoko’s last goal of the season, but also power them to a 2nd place finish and ultimate qualification for next year’s African Champions’ League.
Assured of the goalking title of Ghana’s top flight league, that is one of his boyhood dreams Asamoah has just realised, the mark of a striker who trailed the runaway leader Obed Asamoah for most of the season. Now he intends to take the dream higher and not only shine in Turkey but enhance his chances of getting a call-up to the revered Black Stars as well.
