All set for Kotoko/Hearts decider

Accra, Feb 28. GNA - The recent positive development in the impasse between the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and Kumasi Asante Kotoko is likely to pave the way for the crucial 2004 zonal League decider between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak. The match, which, was nearly affected by the sudden walk out of Kotoko from the just ended Coca Cola Top Four Tournament, is scheduled for March 13, at a venue, yet to be decided by the Professional League Board.

After the PLB fixed the date for the match, Hearts came out to announce their withdrawal from the match in solidarity with GHALCA, which called on all Premier League Clubs not to engage Kotoko in any form of friendly and competitive matches. With the intervention of a Mediation Committee, GHALCA is scheduled to call a consultative meeting with all the Premier Clubs to discuss the lifting of the ban and a reversal of its decision on Kotoko. Kotoko and Hearts won the Zone A and B of the novelty zonal league respectively to decide the over all winner of the 2004 Premier league.
