Ghana goalkeeper William Amamoo has joined Maltese side Floriana on a one year-deal.
The 26-year-old has been in the Southern European country since July 1 following the tracking of the Greens for sometime now.
“Yes we have reached a deal,” the Black Panther confirmed to Goal.com.
“They have requested for my ITC [International Transfer Card] and then my name will be submitted to Uefa.”
Prior to this deal, Amamoo was helping to train young keepers in Sweden and was reported to be heading to struggling Allsvenskan side Halmstads BK.
He said it is a delight to be back in the spotlight once again having been quietly working for a while now and now has a chance to play in the Uefa Europa League.
“Playing in Uefa competition is good and I’m happy for this move. I’ve been looking forward to this and thank God it has arrived.
“Floriana is highly respected here and my priority is to take them forward. I believe this is just the beginning and the best is yet to come,” Amamoo said.
Amamoo is one of Ghana’s most decorated goalkeepers having won Goalkeeper of the Season three times in different European leagues. He is expected to play his first game for the club next Thursday against AEK Larnaka of Cyprus.
