The president of Ghana Premier League side Amidaus Professionals Ahmed Gambo has served notice the Tema-based side will be very difficult to beat next season.
Amidaus had a good season in the top-flight league, especially in the first half of their campaign but only managed to end up on the 12th position on the league log.
Amidaus also got to the semi-finals of the FA Cup but lost to league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Gambo told Goal Ghana that he is happy seeing his team staying up in the league and will prepare adequately for an onslaught for the league title next season.
“I have started my recruitment already and take it from me next season we will be a hard nut to crack and we will give it a shout for the title,” Gambo said.
“Normally teams that come into the league new always get relegated but at least this season was different because I came with King Faisal and RTU and unfortunately RTU is gone and we made it, so at least I will thank God and appreciate it. We sold Tema out and we made all Tema people proud,” he said.
“You know this very season that we play, we had limited time to prepare due to our Division One national middle league being played late due to protest cases but this time round we will have much time to prepare.”
Gambo also confirmed as revealed by Goal Ghana last week that his head coach Tony Lokko will depart the team and his side is currently working on getting a replacement for him.
