Hearts of Oak caretaker coach Edward Ansah is delighted that his charges executed their gameplan against Bechem United.

The Phobians moved out of the relegation zone with a second successive victory courtesy young forward Kenneth Okoro’s 24th minute headed goal on match day 27 of the FCPPL on Sunday.

Hearts controlled the first half and got a deserving lead but surrendered the second half to the visitors who failed to capitalize their dominance by fluffing their chances at the Accra Sports Stadium.

”It had been a very hard victory. We came here with a gameplan, knowing fully-well that our destiny was in our own hands,” Ansah said after the match.

”We came here knowing fully-well that Bechem are coming to fight and we had a gameplan, and I believe in the first half, our gameplan worked to perfection. The goal we scored was a prototype of what we did at training.

”It was a game of two halves. We dominated the first half and Bechem came up in the second half strongly. They fought to the end but I thank God that at the end of the game, we won.”

Bechem have replaced the Phobians at 15th position with three games to end the season. Hearts are still however not safe as they are only one point above relegation. They are guest at Medeama on Sunday before games against Berekum Chelsea (at home) and away at WAFA to end the season.
