Legal practitioner Seidu Nasigri has cautioned Multimedia Group Limited to apologise to Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi ahead of their $2 million defamation lawsuit to be heard on November 29.
On Tuesday, trial judge Daniel Mensah, who is the Dormaahene and owner of Aduana Stars called the case just for the defendants’ counsel to refuse to file their defense.
According to the counsel for the defendants, his clients have apologized for defaming the Ghana FA Boss and FIFA Council member Nyantakyi hence deciding not to file for the defense.
Counsel for the defendants (Songo, Abatay and Multimedia) pleaded with the court that the due process of issuing an apology to the Ghana FA Boss Nyantakyi has been followed and that they expect the plaintiffs’ counsel to acknowledge that.
But Lawyer Nasigri says the Multimedia Group should go an extra mile with the apology.
“My Lord has been good for advising for an apology. Because they are all football people and their relationship is key.
"Naturally Nyantakyi is peeved for all the allegations leveled against him by the defendants. If Multimedia can go and ‘fall flat’ before Nyantakyi it will be good for their image”, he told Starr Sports.
