Appeals Committee to hear appeal on Agyemang

Accra, April 11, GNA - The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association is to hear an appeal lodged by Sahara Boys FC against the decision of the GFA Players Status Committee in the case involving Louis Agyemang of Hearts of Oak. The meeting will be heard at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday April 12 at 3: pm.

Mr Emmanuel Gyimah, Deputy General Secretary of the GFA in a press release copied to the GNA Sports has therefore requested Sahara Boys FC and Hearts of Oak to come along with any other documents in respect of the case to enable the Committee deliberate on it. It would be recalled that Agyemang dragged Hearts to the Status Committee of the GFA but failed in his bid to secure a floating status as the Committee did not rule in his favour and declared that he was a valid player of Hearts.

He has for more than three months failed to feature for Hearts in both the domestic and continental competitions and Hearts recently threatened referring him to the GFA to effect its disciplinary measures on the player for a breach of contract.

Hearts were also said to be considering other legal options against the player to serve as a deterrent to other players not to thread the same path in future.
