Appiah join mates in Kenya camp

Five members of the senior national team, the Black Stars are expected to join their colleagues in camp in Kenya on Friday.

The five include skipper Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari, and defender John Mensah.

The players were not part of the thirteen-man team that flew out to Nairobi Wednesday night to prepare for the all-important clash with South Africa next Saturday.

Meanwhile Joy Sports has gathered that, the Black Stars have pitched camp in the northern Kenyan town of Naivasha for preparations for the crucial world cup qualifier against South Africa?s Bafana Bafana on June 18.

Ghana needs a win in Johannesburg to stand any chance of qualifying for a historic world cup appearance in Germany 2006.

South Africa are three points adrift of the Stars in group two with three more matches to left in the qualifying series.

Coach Ratomir Dujkovic, who led the 13-man squad to Kenya, is positive the ten-day high altitude training exercise will put the team in good stead for victory over South Africa.
