Angry Nigerians yesterday charged on the Super Eagles players and made them remain inside the dressing room of the Accra Sports Stadium for more than one hour after the match.
They were registering their disappointment on their performance in yesterday's World Cup qualifier.
The fans charged at the players and dared them to come out of the dressing room and head for their hotel at their own risk.
It however took the intervention of Ghana security operatives as well as the bodyguards the Super Eagles took to Accra to escort them out of the stadium.
The fans booed them and called them unprintable names for failing against an Accra Hearts of Oak team trained by Cecil Jones Attuquayefio who drafted them as replacement for the "arrogant" Black Stars foreign- based professionals.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian fans danced and hailed their home-based players for holding the star-studded Nigerian team which they all agreed did not live up to their rating.
