Asamoah Gyan set to build Soccer Academy in Ghana

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is set to build a soccer academy in Ghana to help develop talents in the country and beyond.

Asamoah Gyan’s representative and Chief Executive of Baby Jet Boxing Promotions, Samuel Anim Addo has divulged that the academy will be named after the Al Ain star.

He revealed that a school will also be constructed and named after Gyan’s mother, Cecilia Love Amoako, who died in a motor accident last year.

According to Anim Addo, the academy will help unearth fresh talent, adding that apart from the needy, interested applicant would be required to pay a small fee to enter the academy.

Meanwhile, Anim Addo has rubbished media reports linking Asamoah Gyan away from his current club to Europe, adding he is happy where he is, and he is focusing on his football.

“We should respect the decisions of our players. Look at what he is doing even in boxing. He is putting smiles on the faces of people, and he has done well so let’s support him and make him strong even at the Black Stars level to the benefit of all,” he added.
