Liberty Professionals are demanding a whopping amount of GHC 110,000($29,000) from Hearts of Oak for captain and defender Alfred Azumah Nelson for a two-year deal.

The 23-year-old defender who captained Liberty Professionals last season is said to be in Obuasi to complete a move to the Miners, but the Strategic Committee of Hearts has revived their interest for the Central defender if only they could meet Liberty’s demand.

Hearts interest for the versatile defender rekindled after management officially decided to replace rusty central defender Philip Boampong for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Nelson is yet to officially sign any deal with CAF Champions League campaigners Ashgold and he is likely to arrive in Accra by the close of the week to finalize the Rainbow deal with just eight days to close registration.
